michael o.o.Guest Poet: Michael Onslow-Osborne

Michael Onslow-Osborne has been trolling around the Auckland poetry scene since 1996, working with collaborative and generative writing practices, and found language. He has been an organiser for the occasional Soft Boiled series, and was vocalist with Scram. He doesn’t keep good records, but his poetry has been published in ABDotWW, Salt and Flint, and Potroast, and he co-edited Courtney Meredith’s Brown Girls in Bright Red Lipstick

Guest Musician: Zarek Silberschmidt

zarekZarek Silberschmidt has a talent: that talent is to take you from where your sitting. That talent is something that’s rare in todays’ performances. That talent is the ability to get you involved, to wow you, and to make you smile. In not so many words Zarek is not just a fantastic guitarist but he is also a fantastic performer too. He takes tunes you know and rearranges them into beautiful guitar instrumentals and then plays them, with gusto. An up and coming Auckland performer who revels in live performance and is a guitar virtuoso to boot, come and see him before he inevitably takes his music overseas!
